About radiology technicians
At most modern hospitals, radiology technicians play vital role. Radiology technicians carry out important procedures related to x-rays and other technologies. The principal task carried out by radiology technicians, is to take x-ray diagnostic images using an x-ray machine of some kind. Radiology technicians are directed by other medical professionals, such as radiologists or even general practitioners. in addition to x-rays, radiologists also performs CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasound scans, f-MRI scans as well as various types of x-ray machines. Each of these areas require specialized training.
Radiology technicians also interact with customers, they may need to talk with the patient to help initiate the procedure. Radiology technicians do not however report the results are given advice to patients; these services are provided by the doctor.
Radiology technicians require specialized training, typically an associate degree as a radiology technologist. these associate degrees typically require 2 to 4 years of study, as well as a certified license to practice. Radiologists must also be recertified every two years.
