Are Cucumbers Acidic?

Cucumbers are considered an alkaline fruit. They are not considered an acidic food. Cucumbers do contain acid but they have an alkalizing effect on the body. This comes after the cucumbers get digested in the body. The body’s pH must remain between 7.35 and 7.45 to be healthy and free of disease. Cucumbers help in maintaining the pH because of the way they get digested in the human body. An example of an acidic food would be red meat. It has a very acidic effect on the body. But cucumbers are not considered an acidic food after digestion.
