Average Cost of Bismuth in 2011
Bismuth is not an element which is widely used. It is mainly used in producing cosmetics and some pharmaceutical products, and in fire detection and suppression system safety devices. In the recent years, the price of bismuth has faced heavy drops. However, in 2011, the price of bismuth is around $22 per pound. In the year 2008, this price was even less than half of the current amount. As it is not widely used , the production rate is not very high.
