Dental Receptionist Job Description
For anyone interested in dentistry, the intensive medical schooling requirements are generally a large barrier for most. Fortunately, there is an alternative that does not require nearly as much education. A dental receptionist performs general duties around a dentist office including greeting patients at the front desk, answering phones, making appointments, keeping patient records, paperwork, and minor cleanup around the waiting room and examination room. Dental receptionists are also often called upon to offer assistance to the dentist in cleaning tools, and performing minor dentistry work. Becoming a dental receptionist has very low educational requirements, usually not more than a simple high school diploma.
