FIFA Referee Salary 2011
A FIFA refereeās salary in 2011 is $55,000. Their salaries are generally paid on an annual basis for officiating in a particular number of matches during a year. The credibility level of a FIFA referee is rated very high. That is why even a minor error made by a FIFA referee, such as making an in-game call or spotting a handball wrongly, often comes with sharp criticism. They are mostly placed in a pressure situation, from where they have to make split second decisions. About 30 referees did duty during the last and 19th edition of FIFA World Cup that was held in South Africa during June-July 2010.
