The income of hairdressers differ from state to state. Location, experience, specialization and employer are among the prominent factors that influence their earnings. The salary of a hairdresser or hair designer in 2011 is $30,000 to $50,000. Hairdressers perform stylish hair cuts, alluring hair coloring, hair extensions, brow shaping, and body waxing. They work in a salon or spa or run their own private salons. Some hairdressers or cosmetologists also perform the job of nail technicians or manicurists. Those who manage to enter film industry make very high salaries.
