With the financial hard times hitting the nation, the position of hospital pharmacist is one of the few that still retains its job security. A hospital pharmacist job description focuses upon their duties in running the hospital pharmacy. This includes giving out medication to patients, observing hospital policies and enforcing them, counting pills and preparing medication, filling out paperwork, performing quality assurance for the hospital’s medication, observing medication effects on patients, and running the register. The educational requirements to become a hospital pharmacist include a medical degree as well as pharmaceutical certification.
