How Much Does A Restaurant Manager Make Per Year? Average Restaurant Manager Salary
A restaurant manager’s job is very similar to that of a hotel manager, though the former may have to occasionally perform additional works, particularly in cases where a bar is attached to the restaurant. Restaurant managers plan and direct the activities of places that serve food and beverage. In most restaurants, they are assisted by one or two assistants. In large facilities, an executive chef will come to share a restaurant manager’s works whereas in small restaurants, the manager may also play the role of an executive chef. Checking the cash and receipts at the end of the day is also part of a restaurant manager’s job. On average, restaurant managers earn $40,000 but that varies depending on the type of facility they work with.
