How Much Does An ATF Agent Make Per Year? Average ATF Agent Salary
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) prevents terrorist and drug-related activities across the US. The average base pay of an ATF agent is $40,000 besides other allowances. Their main job is to conduct criminal investigations relating to violations of US laws. ATF agents also hold raids and searches from time to time as part of their investigations. They may also prepare crime case reports for Courts. Law enforcement experience with preferably a Master’s degree is among the primary requisites to become an ATF agent, who are employed by the US Treasury Department.
