How Much Does An Air Force General Make Per Year? Average Air Force General Salary
The General of the Air Force (GAF)is a 5-star general officer rank and is the highest rank in the US Air Force. The GAF rank is designated as O-10 on the military pay scale and, therefore, the GAF’s annual average salary is $150,000. The GAF ranks immediately above a general and is equivalent to General of the Army in the US Army and Fleet Admiral in the US Navy. The GAF rank is usually kept reserved for war-time use. There is no other 5-star rank in any of the other four uniformed services, namely Marine Corps, Coast Guard, PHSCC, and NOAA Corps.
