How Much Does An Equine Veterinarian Make Per Year? Average Equine Vet Salary?
In general, equine veterinarians earn more by specializing in a particular field. For instance, the doctors of racing horses make $70,000 to $100,000 a year. Non-specialized veterinarians can earn about $30,000 in the first few years of their career, and up to $60,000 when experience is accumulated. This leads to an average of $45,000 a year for an equine veterinary. Small cities in this case hold an advantage, where the veterinary can end up earning the average amount from his first year on the job.
