A Demographer studies the makeup, distribution and trends of population and observes the causes as well as effects of population changes. Sometimes demographers are called “population sociologists”. A demographer collects statistical data in order to identify the trends and comes up with assumptions regarding the future trends which assist the Government and other organizations to develop plan for the future. In the United States, a demographer can make as much as $53,160 on an average per year.
