How Much Does a Landman Make Per Year? Average Landman Salary
The job outlook for a landman is generally good, considering the prevailing demand for them in negotiating a favorable deal with big energy firms and land owners. They are rewarded based on their ability to work out a smooth deal. Their income also depends on the size of the company and the area of the land that is leased out for use besides their experience. On average, a landman earns $90,000 to $100,000 annually. Those holding a law degree and possessing sufficient experience may earn a much better pay. Their primary job is to conduct researches at homes offices of land owners and mineral owners or energy companies between whom the deal is to be met.
