The annual salary of a linguist is normally in the range of $80,000 to $100,000. It differs based on the location and type of institution for which they work. Linguists mostly work in the education sector where they are usually employed as teachers, translators or interpreters, though they are also known to take jobs at private companies, research institutions and consulting firms.
