How Much Does a Long Snapper Make Per Year? Average Long Snapper Salary
The earnings of a long snapper keeps changing from season to season and depending upon where they are placed and how long they have been doing the job. On average, an NFL long snapper makes $600,000 yearly. The income of a veteran long snapper may be as high as $900,000. A long snapper is a specialized center during punts, field goals and extra point attempts. Snapping the ball quickly and smartly is their primary responsibility. They also discharge routine duties of a center, besides running downfield to defend the punt return. In the NFL, long snappers are generally less-known, mainly due to their not-so-visible role on the field.
