How To Become a Radiologist
A prolonged education and training in different aspects of radiology is essential to become a radiologist. The average radiologist needs to undergo 13 years of education training. A bachelor’s degree is required for admission in many states, whereas others specify significant number of undergraduate courses. After completing the 4-year medical schooling, a radiologist is expected to spend another 4 years in residency. Fellowships are also available, offering 1 to 2 years of specialized training in a radiological sub-specialty.
