How much does a Catholic Nun make per year? Average Catholic Nun Salary
A nun is a woman who has sworn to lead a spiritual life. A Nun should not be married or divorced, and has to take vows of obedience, celibacy and poverty, vows that can last from one to nine years. Compared to a nun, who has to take solemn vows, a Sister has to take simple vows. A Nun has to respect the rule of the religious institution she enters, but first she has to pass an initial period of testing the monastery life, a period called postulancy. Many nuns don’t receive a salary, only those nuns who are social workers or doctors are paid.
