Cycling has risen in popularity in recent years, along with such stars as Lance Armstrong. A member of the UCI earns a minimum salary of $40,000, as set by UCI regulations. Salaries may reach as high as $100,000 for most cyclists. For top cyclists, endorsements, training sessions, and prize money can easily break $1 million. Lance Armstrong once earned $28 million in a single year.
