Immigration Attorney Job Description
With today’s focus on illegal immigration and the rising tide of immigrants streaming into the country, there is a large niche open to lawyers looking for an opportunity. Immigration attorneys are hired by people to facilitate their entry into the country as well as applying for a green card and, eventually, citizenship. If you have an interest in the law, helping others, and working with people from other cultures, then a career in immigration law might be just the thing for you. Unlike most other paths for lawyers, immigration has little or no competition and conflict throughout daily work; many of its practitioners consider this a nice change. The standard tasks of an immigration attorney involve helping to file paperwork on behalf of clients for citizenship and green cards and providing them with legal advice. To become an immigration attorney, you must complete law school and pass the bar exam.
