Is Crab Fattening?

Crab is not necessarily fattening on its own, however crab can be fattening if it is prepared a certain way. The meat in crab is actually relatively low in fat, and most crab has only a small amount of meat inside. Some crab recipes, however, are actually very fattening because of the use of butter or other oils that are rich with fats. Crab cakes, for example, contain at least 10 to 15 grams of fat per serving, which is very fattening.
