An NFL player’s average salary in 2011 is expected to be $900,000. The salaries vary depending upon the popularity and consistency of a player. Most metropolitan areas in the US have an NFL franchise, although Los Angeles, the second largest metropolitan area in the country, has not hosted an NFL team since 1994.
