Target Cashier Job Description

A cashier at Target has the same role and duties as cashiers at most retail establishments. A Target cashier must enter codes and scan merchandise, tender cash and bag the products. He or she must also practice standard customer service and help out customers when needed. Target cashiers must stand for long periods of time, and work shift work. This means that cashiers often have an erratic work schedule from week to week. Target cashiers are usually paid minimum wage.
