What is Almond Butter? Ingredients and Uses
Almond butter is a thick nut-based spread the can most easily be compared with peanut butter. Almond butter is created by grinding almonds (which are often roasted) to form a rich paste. Almond butter is often enhanced and modified with additives such as salt, sugar, oils, or almond extract. Almond butter can be bought at many grocery stores but can be quite expensive. Almond butter is often used as a spread for bread or pastries but may also be used in confections, desserts, and a variety of other uses.
