What is Bourbon? Ingredients and Uses
Bourbon is a strong alcoholic spirit made from corn. Bourbon was developed first in Kentucky in Bourbon County, for which it is named. Bourbon is created by first fermenting and distilling a corn mash. Bourbon often contains an amount of other grains such as wheat or barley as well. Bourbon may be drunk by itself or combined with other liquors and drinks to create mixed drinks. Most Bourbon is created in Kentucky but may be bought around the world in liquor stores.
