What is Chipotle? Ingredients, Definition and Use
Chipotle is a type of spicy Mexican seasoning. Chipotle is created by drying out jalapeno peppers and smoking them to give their distinctive, smoky flavor. These dried, smoked peppers are then usually ground into a fine powder for use in seasoning a variety of dishes. One easy way to make chipotle sauce is to fry garlic and onions in oil, then add a tablespoon of ground chipotle. Stir this and add in a cup of chicken stock. This makes a very flavorful and potent chili sauce.
