What is a Gordita? Ingredients, Definition and Use
A gordita is a Mexican dish similar in many ways to a taco. Gordita means “little fatty” in Spanish, which refers to the type of shell used. Gorditas are made using thicker shells than tacos, giving it a different texture. Gorditas are usually filled with some type of stew or casserole, usually made from meat and chilies. They can have lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese added in as well.
