What is a Tomatillo? Ingredients, Definition and Use
A tomatillo is a type of Mexican fruit similar in many ways to tomatoes and chilies. Tomatillos have a shiny, bright green fruit that is surrounded by a loose husk that can easily be removed. Tomatillos are used throughout Mexican cuisine and are quite sour but with a very distinctive flavor.
