Brazilianite is a yellow-green phosphate mineral found in phosphate rich igneous rocks. It is a very precious gemstone mineral and much appreciated among collectors. Its country of origin is Brazil, where it was first discovered. Later Brazilianite was also discovered in New Hampshire, at the Palermo Mine. The crystals are well developed and very large, transparent to translucent and the luster is vitreous. It is a very sought after and valuable gemstone and the price of a single Brazilianite crystal can reach up to $30/gram.
