What is the Average Cost of Charoite per gram/pound? Average Charoite Price
Charoite is a rare and unusual mineral that was first discovered in 1947 by the Russians in the Murun mountains, but it remained unknown to the west until 1978. It is named after the Chara River. It is often used as an ornamental stone and as a gemstone due to its purple or violet color. It can be found only in one location: at Aldan, along the Chara River in Russia. The price varies depending on the size of the specimen, or on how much it weighs. For example a 1.7 inch Charoite specimen can be bought for $21.50 and a 7.3ct Charoite cost $51.
