Etylene dichloride is a chemical compound mainly used in the fabrication of vinyl chloride monomer, that is then used in the manufacture of PVC. It is a flammable, colorless liquid that has a chloroform-like odor. When it burns, it eliminates toxic fumes and the inhalation of the vapors must be avoided, as also the contact with skin and eyes.
