What is the Average Cost of living in Hungary per month/year?

Although the Consumer Price Index for Hungary is low at 53.69, excluding rent, the average cost of living is similar to other European countries. With housing, for example, the rent on a 3 bedroom apartment in the city is $1,663 and outside the city center it is $1,240. With a monthly pass for public transport at about $80, it would be more economical to commute. Utilities are not inexpensive at $195 a month and but basic food items are about average.
