What is the Average Cost of living in Washington per month/year?
Washington, being very prestigious and classy city, is a very expensive place to live. The only index factor lower then the average is the cost of utilities such as electricity, gas and telephone which is about 20% lower. Food prices a slightly higher while the cost of transportation, health, clothing, entertainment, restaurants and repairs are about 25% higher. The median listing price for housing is $166,000 at the lower end ranging up to $386,000 at the higher end of the market.
