Namibia is an English-speaking country located on the western coast of southern Africa. Previously known as South West Africa, it more recently got its name due to its containing the Namib Desert. Namibia’s 2.1 million people live spread over a 320,000 mi.² area of land. Namibia is ruled by a republic form of government with its capital and largest city being Windhoek.
