Panama is located on the very southern tip of Central America, but the connecting point between this continent and South America. Panama shares borders with Costa Rica in the north ends Colombia in the South with the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean on either side. Panama is an important country as it is the location of the Panama Canal which is one of the few connections between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean.
