Paraguay is a central South American country of 6.4 million people. Paraguay covers a total land area of 4000 km² and is bordered by Brazil, Bolivia, and Argentina. Paraguay is entirely landlocked with no Coast region at all and speaks Spanish as its national language. The name Paraguay comes from the river which runs through the center of the country: Rio Paraguay.
