Who is Freyja? Norse Mythology Goddess Freya
Freyja is a Goddess of ancient Norse mythology. She is the wife of Odin, the leader of the gods. Freyja’s name simply means “the Lady” in ancient German. She is primarily the goddess of beauty, love, and fertility. Freyja is also a goddess of death and the afterlife, presiding over Folkvangr, the heavenly field. Half of those who die in battle reside with Freyja, the other half go to Odin in Valhalla.
