Cardiologist Job Description
A cardiologist is a doctor who works with the heart. He or she diagnoses and treats patients who experience such ailments as high blood pressure, heart defects or heart disease. Cardiologists may also refer patients who require surgery. Cardiologists work for health clinics, private practices and hospitals and usually work from 50 to 60 hours a week. Cardiologists can make anywhere from $100,000 to $400,000+ a year.
