Construction Worker Job Description
A construction worker is someone who works on a construction site. Some of the duties of a construction worker are; re-rerouting traffic by using cones or signs, repairing or relaying pavement, using large machinery such as bulldozers, and clearing roads. Construction workers are employed by construction companies or the government. This type of work is physically demanding and sometimes requires up to 50 hours of work a week. For a helper or laborer, the salary is $10 to $25 an hour. For operators of the large equipment, salary is $15 to $35 an hour.
