Film/Movie Director Job Description
The role of a movie director is at times very glamorous and at other times very stressful and full of pressure. The director has many responsibilities, as he or she is the ‘boss’ of the creative aspect of a film. Some examples of a director’s responsibilities are; analyzing scripts, deciding on the visual theme or style of the set, making decisions on costumes, filming locations and casting, and overseeing the editing process. This job can include a fair amount of traveling and long and irregular hours. The typical salary of a film director is $8000 per week.
