How much does a Screenwriter make per Year? Average Screenwriter Salary
A screenwriter is someone who writes scripts for television or film. If the screenwriter is a member of the Writers Guild of America, then he or she will be sure to earn a certain amount from his or her work, as the organization is unionized. The salary of a screenwriter depends on many factors, including; the quality of the work, the experience of the screenwriter, the number of scripts sold in any given year, and more. With this said, the average yearly salary of a rather successful screenwriter is roughly $100,000 a year.
