Psychologist Job Description
Psychologists are medical professionals who counsel clients, assess their psychological needs and provide treatment. Some treatment options used by psychologists are group therapy and counseling one-on-one. Besides counseling clients, psychologists must also maintain their records and do research. Psychologists work in an array of settings, including hospitals, private practices and universities. Psychologists usually work during regular office hours, but may be on call during the weekends and evenings. Psychologists make an average of $60,000 a year.
