What is the Average Cost of Having a Baby in hospital without Insurance? Average Having a Baby Price
The cost of having a baby without insurance depends on a number of factors. For example, the location of the birth can impact the cost, as births in the South are less expensive then births in the Northeast and West Coast. On average though, a birth in a hospital costs anywhere from $5,000 to $20,000. If the mother has to give birth via cesarean, then the cost will increase. For the cesarean alone, the cost can be from $15,000 to $25,000. Room and board also adds $300 per day to the total bill.
