What is the Average Cost of a Hay Bale? Average Hay Bale Price
The cost of hay generally depends on the demand for different types as well as each shape of bale such as small square, large square and large round. Usually the prices fall down if rainfall does not disappoint during the season. The prices vary from steady, mix to lower based on market trends. Some buyers have the tendency to stockpile hay to meet the requirements during winter. The prices will be low if the sales activity is not bright. The average cost of hay bales per ton is $120 to $140 for prime variety, $80 to $90 and $55 to $65 for Grade I and II respectively. The volume of inquiries usually remains good for high quality hay.
