The current best-known data for Half Life 2: Episode 3 suggest that the release date will be some time in 2010, likely mid/late in 2010.

Half Life 2: Episode 2 shipped as part of The Orange Box on October 9th, 2007. A similar release date of October/November, 2010 would give a 3-year window between game releases, which is not uncommon for Valve Software, the developer.

It has been rumored that Counterstrike 2, the much-anticipated sequel to Counterstrike and Counterstrike: Source may be bundled with Half Life 2: Episode 2, perhaps also accompanied by a sequel to the popular Portal game in a second "The Orange Box" release/sequel.
